From standard bathroom to sustainable space with little investment
Bathroom renovation and interior design project
Location: Busot - Alicante
Surface area: 5,65m².
Analyze the way to give the place personality and at the same time get involved in sustainability, this was the premise to modernize with little investment one of the bathrooms I have at home. I started from the basis of an impersonal space, with lots of natural light and good proportions. I used the new tiles to frame the wet areas, while the lime mortar was used to finish the rest of the walls. This will help to regulate the excess moisture that often originates in the bathroom due to its hygroscopic properties. By incorporating environmentally friendly materials on the walls, the color palette was homogeneous and full of life, don't you think? To complete the decoration, the gray tone combined perfectly with the greens of the furniture and the vegetation on the platform of the bathtub.
